"Know Thyself: The Hong Kong Transgender Youth Anthology" is funded by the HER Fund, organized by Quarks HK, and published by Onebookhalf Gender Space. It collects works from nine Hong Kong transgender youth. This book explores the challenges faced by the transgender community and their daily lives, presenting a diverse and broad community picture.

 

The works vary in language, genre, and content, showcasing both the common challenges of the trans youth community and individual unique perspectives. The book aims to help trans youth understand the cultural history of gender and sexual minorities in Chinese-speaking regions, allowing them to trace the context from a trans youth perspective, write their own narratives, and define their culture.As Hong Kong's first anthology of transgender literature, this book will be an important milestone. It is hoped that the voices of transgender youth will continue to resonate, reminding everyone to find their unique qualities and see their true selves amidst displacement and incongruity.
